A Curious Case of Cynthia McKinney

According to whoever is giving you the information, Cynthia McKinney assaulted a Capitol Police officer at Congress one day... she didn’t have her I.D. It depends on who you talk to. I’ve had my moments with District law enforcement and there’s no telling who you are going to run into, especially in these sensitive times with all those terrorists nudge... nudge... wink... wink... running around. Let’s not get into the sort of self-importance one find in the burgeoning areas of thug industry seen in airports and anywhere people go to travel and move about freely or anywhere people go.

Because of this, Cynthia is considered a wack job by the people who operate and profit from the situations that Cynthia found herself in (and maybe you do to) because these are the same people who shade your news and talk out of your radio while you’re driving wherever you’re driving. She also said that 9/11 was an Inside Job. This was before she had her altercation.

Now Cynthia gets on the boat “Dignity” with some other people to sail some medical supplies into Gaza which is being terrorized by some hi-tech military strikes that were necessary because some people in Gaza didn’t like the way they were being treated and weren’t cooperating with their own extinction. These people in Gaza had been forced into razor wire, checkpoint, strip-search encircling areas of recently bulldozed orchards, homes and farms and were being offered at the ‘one time only’, ‘low, low price’ of free for the abuse of settlers who were bused into areas they used to live in but which are now right next door to where they are now, for the moment. It seems that some of these Palestinians objected to this au natural treatment and launched a few bottle rockets over the wire and walls and what have you into the lands that had once been their own but are not anymore. These are stressful times. I guess people are touchy.

There had been this cease fire between the Palestinians and the occupiers but then the occupiers broke that cease fire and, of course, that made it the Palestinians fault. Well of course it was their fault because they don’t have televisions stations and newspapers to say otherwise and they don’t have money or even food now so... who the fuck are they?

So... anyway Cynthia McKinney, this brash ‘black’ ‘woman’ who likes to assault police officers and make wild-eyed accusations about 9/11 decided that she might want to help the people in Gaza and put a public face on the thing. Why? I don’t know why. According to the people who give you your news it’s a publicity stunt. Those news people, they do a bang up job. Look at the hit they put on the guy that got hit in Gaza just a little while ago. You’ve heard the phrase, “keep your friends close and your enemies closer”? Well here’s a derivative on that theme... keep the press in your crotch so you don’t have to scratch it yourself and keep the people who pay them in your ass cause it’s warmer there and it’s more like what and where they are used to.

So... the Israelis come out into international waters and scatter the waves with machine gun fire and then ram this boat, “Dignity” and some people are asking if it even happened or happened anywhere near the way they said it happened because Cynthia, you know, she likes to push policemen around and she’s got that 9/11 virus. Official sources say that this boat, which isn’t built for the job, took evasive action and that’s why it happened when ...the boats that are designed for this sort of thing hit her. Later it was just called an accident that happened three times. The cool thing about dealing with reality instead of fiction is that you don’t have to stretch the truth cause the truth will just stretch itself to contain whatever's needed to prove once again that truth is stranger than fiction depending on your version of the truth.

I don’t know Cynthia McKinney. I do know that 9/11 was an Inside Job pulled off in a joint operation between Mossad and the CIA along with British intelligence and a few others. I do know that Israel is in the wrong for reasons so clear that if you can’t see them you don’t want to and so I shouldn’t have to lay it all out for you to ignore again.

Since I know who the ‘other guys’ are I’m going to have to take Cynthia at her word because compared to them she’s Mother Mary. I don’t know what she’s like in person, whether I could relate to her but I have seen her conviction when she speaks and she’s got a degree of certitude and what looks an awful lot like integrity as well. Integrity is one of those things you have to look at more than once because you don’t see it very often and sometimes when you come back later to look at it, it isn’t there anymore anyway.

I’ve only got a rough idea about what Cynthia McKinney is like but she ‘seems’ like a kind of Cassandra with ‘tude. She looks like one of those people that bought into all that stuff Martin Luther King used to talk about and she thinks it’s real AND applies across the board.... Meaning wherever people are oppressed, that’s me yesterday and maybe you tomorrow.

People used to ask me how come I liked Pete Rose so much because he did this and he said that. I told them that I don’t have to have dinner with the guy; I just like how he plays baseball. I was a baseball player myself and I understand that Charlie Hustle dynamic. So I don’t have to have dinner with Cynthia McKinney to admire her style. I like her better than any of the other bought off and paid for whores in congress with a couple, possible exceptions. Cynthia may have been one of the only members in congress who didn’t take her marching orders from Israel which may also be why she got muscled out of the club.

You can see where the world is at when someone tries to do a good thing and gets harassed and slandered because she wasn’t out shopping for shoes with Condolezza Rice. It’s okay to do good but... within the parameters of good defined by those who follow that aspect of the Golden Rule which states that those who have the gold make the rules.

I have watched this lady from afar for awhile. When I saw her do the emperor has no clothes thing with 9/11 I thought, “How did they let her in there?” When I heard about the thing with the troglodyte with the badge, I figured they were laying for her. If they can’t catch you in a honey trap then they’ll try to get you to step on the glue board.

I realize that boat thing is symbolic as much as anything. Reason I know that is that I would have been on board myself but I got no profile. However, when you set out to bait the hyena in his den in order to help the plight of a people that no one else seems to give a shit about I have to applaud you for your courage.

Cynthia McKinney is a class act. She puts her life where her mouth is. She doesn’t have to do this and I don’t see how it helps her to get elected again in Georgia.

I just hope that the Israeli’s on the boat that rammed her didn’t have to get counseling afterwards. It ‘s got to be really tough to be an eight hundred pound gorilla in a cage match with a canary ....and to get the people to sympathize with you. I don’t know, somehow they get it done. It’s like some 6’6” serial rapist claiming that the 80 pound 13 year old girl he was doing made him do it AND you believed him. Most of you still do.

Good points Les, but there's still the nagging thing about why there's not any pictures.

Cynthia McKinney is definately a class act by the few that care to reason, which few do.
I've heard many times that she was 'hated' by her native Georgian's from others who travel there all the time. From those that are or have ties to the US military over there or from here. Yea, go figure. My, what a great job thowing a few million dollars to demonized a person you don't like anymore does. Kind of keeps the other rift-raft in line. Which, as history has proved soon after 911 worked. Of course the anthrax scare worked wonders too. I wonder why Cynthia didn't receive a love letter? Well, her carrear was ruined so it probably didn't matter.
I don't remember her coming out and actually saying 911 was an inside job right after , but she sure did start asking questions that got her in a world of shit, really fast.

Notice how they IDF is a bunch of sadistic psychopaths. But on top of that they are really wimps, most bullies are. They don't have the guts to go in Gaza until there are more dead bodies than live ones. They know that if they took it to the man on man level they would get there asses kicked. That day will come anyway. Karma rules...

I don't know Cynthia either but she is fearless. I think I love her.
As the rest of us sit around and bemoan the conditions in Gaza, she put her life on the line to DO SOMETHING!!
I reason that this woman is amazing--she got herself onto CNN and got to bring up the USS Liberty! Wow, thanks israel for making that happen.
As for the people who are unsure of what is happening or think israel has even a drop of righteousness, clearly God is sending them "strong delusions so that they may believe the lie"

Cynthia McKinney is a good Catholic girl. She told the Atlanta Journal Constitution that she considered becoming a nun at one time, since she admired the nuns who educated her. She's definitely in the running to be the next Mother Teresa, that's for sure, i.e., a moral voice crying out in the wilderness.

I don't watch TV news, but Cynthia McKinney did get it out on CNN during the interview about the Israeli's attacking the USS Liberty in 67. I wonder how many sheeple slept through that and how many times the ADL watched it trying to think of a spin for an out and out act of war! And I agree with Les, she is putting her life out there on the line for what she believes in. Instead of being a stepnfetchit like Obama, and Rice.

Whoops! not firing on all cylinders today. Jj asked me to post his comment but I'm sure he wanted it under his own name.

"Just in case there was any confusion, I do believe that the Israeli's did ram the boat--Kudos again to McKinney for her courage and also for getting a USS Liberty shot in there with the cnn interview.
My point in my last posts was to say that they never shoot the message--it's bulletproof--as the truth always is--they do however go after the messenger (Charliw Sheen-whoremonger party boy--Rosie O'Donnell--loud mouthed fat bull-dyke re:911) with every bit of snicker and vitriol that can be mustered--
and therefore are able to at least limit the damage--maybe McKinney thought the others were video taping--after all, some of them were "professional" media--I don't know if the Isrealis would have done it if they didn't know they wouldn't have to worry about video tape--computer and internet access--heck, they (the dignity) could have been broadcasting live on the net--unless they already knew certain things--they were probably jamming all frequencies as well--accident my ass--I used to run large vessels and you never get in as close as the israelis did--my guess is that they were playing cat and mouse trying to get the captain of the dignity to change course (blink) so they could say he didn't maintain course and caused the collision--a fiberglass boat (dignity) would be like a piece of paper with the Israeli boats being a meat cleaver--not even close--Just saw your post go up Les--I didn't take it personally--Just thought I may not have explained myself properly--then again WTF --over and out---oh, before I go it was really cool to see that you have porn stars (I assume) contributing to the site--one of the last posters on your previous--"Lance Thruster"---if I ever change my name or need an alias----perfect
"Not about me"--you evil bastard--I thought it was my 15 seconds of fame--relatively speaking--of course-- I tried--putting away my spoon and pot--have carpel tunnel now from stirring so much--
Until we meet again Visible!!!!!!"

In regards to the questions about video taping on the high seas--yes--it's been done--by me. We were 50 miles off Daytona Beach on our way up to NYC when a dark cigarette boat hit us with a light-we had seen their wake glistening earlier and knew they were there-they had no running lights and claimed to be DEA (over the UHF radio (short range)--they wanted to board in rather nasty sea conditions--we called the coast guard, DEA, and customs on the SSB but none would tell us if they had a boat in the area--here were three guys in a 40 foot scarab holding badges up and shining flashlights on them--we hit em' with a 2 million candle power spotlight so they couldn't see the 2 rifles and shotgun pointed at them from the other side of the deck--they shadowed us for an hour and then just faded away--then again, they may have heard over the radio that we told the CG-DEA and customs that we were armed and would repel boarders--might have been a shakedown hoping to nab a drug runner but the calls we put in must have made them think twice? Anyway, it was on tape (due to the spotlight) and probably still is in one of my crews closets--we thought it prudent to be able to show that we didn't fire the first shot if it came to that--

Les-

Cynthia McKinney is a true American patriot, not some Wal-Mart GI Joe patriot like so many who wrap their sadistic impulses to torture and kill in the flag of McPatriotism in the name of the War On Terror.. That is why it sickened me when people told me that voting for her in the last election was a "wasted vote". If voting for someone who is actually striving to make a difference is a "wasted vote" then this whole sham that we call democracy is a waste!

The thing that I loved about Cynthia most is that while she calmly stated how scary it was having the boat rammed, she kept the focus on the Gazans by reminding everyone that what she and her fellow shipmates experienced paled in comparison to what hell the Gazans have been subjected to.

Kudos to you for highlighting how they try to play up the "crazy Black woman" card, Les. It is sickening to hear these creatures attack her for her looks and her race, these same apologists who cry about racism, antisemitism and genocide who can get away with outright bloody murder in the name of Israel by invoking the holocaust.

When you get on the bad side of the powers that be, they will attack you full stop and call you, your mom, dad and even your dog "ugly" because they have to set an example to the sheeple about what happens when you wind up on their shit list.

As for the creatures who call Cynthia McKinney "crazy and ugly"? Consider the source! These neo-con and neo-lib psychopaths who are uglier than sin (regarding how they justify starvation and indiscriminate bombing) and nuttier than squirrel shit. Let it be a warning how they viciously attack anybody who won't roll over and play dead for them on their terms.

January 1, 2009 -- Message from Lebanon from Cynthia McKinney

WMR has just received the following dispatch from former U.S. Representative Cynthia McKinney in Lebanon:

January 1, 2009 - We Lived to Tell the Story: Lebanon Rescued Us

Yesterday, we met with the President of Lebanon, the Chief of the Military, and the Interior Minister who all thanked us for responding and risking our lives on a mission of mercy; we profusely thanked them for rescuing us.

What would we have done, stranded out at sea, prohibited from reaching our destination, low on fuel, with a badly damaged boat if Lebanon had not accepted us? Lebanon sent their ships to find us. Lebanon rescued us. Lebanon welcomed us. And we are truly thankful.

It's official now. We've been told that the sturdy, wood construction of our boat, Dignity, is the reason we are still alive. Fiberglass would probably not have withstood the impact of the Israeli attack and under different circumstances, we might not be here to tell the story. Even at that, the report that came to us yesterday after the Captain and First Mate went back to Sour (Tyre) to inspect the boat was that it was sinking, the damage is extensive, and the boat will take, in their estimation, at least one month to repair. Tomorrow, we will bring the Dignity from Sour to Beirut. And now, we must decide what to do and from where we will do it and how we are to get back to wherever that might be.

My personal, and I know the group's, thanks must go to Al Jazeera, that allowed three of their reporters to be onboard with us on our voyage. As a result, Al Jazeera carried the story of the Dignity live, from castoff in Cyprus when our spirits were high, right up through the manacing maneuvers of the huge, super fast Israeli ships before they rammed us, the Israeli calls on the ship phone after the ramming calling us terrorists and subversives and telling us to return to Cyprus (even though the Israelis later claimed that they didn't know who we were, they knew enough about us to tell us where we had come from), and the fact that we didn't have enough fuel to follow their instructions, right up to their threat to fire at us if we didn't turn around, ending with our beaten-up boat limping into Sour harbor in Lebanon. Al Jazeera carried our story as "breaking news" and performed a real service to its audience and to us. Al Jazeera called the Israelis to inquire about the incident right as it was happening and I am sure the Israelis were prepared to leave none to tell the story. Al Jazeera told the story and documented it as it was happening.

One of those Al Jazeera reporters with us was Sami El-Haj, who was detained in Guantanamo by the United States for six incredibly long years. What an honor to even exchange glances with such a humble man who had endured so much pain at the hands of the U.S. government. I apologized to him that my tax dollars were being used in such a despicable way. And Sami's crime according to the U.S.? Born in Sudan, and reporting for Al Jazeera in Afghanistan, Sami was the wrong color, the wrong nationality, the wrong religion, reporting for the wrong news outfit, telling us the truth about a wrong war. And for that he survived incarceration for six long years. Sami El-Haj, Guantanamo prisoner number 345.

Another incredibly committed journalist who was with us was CNN's Karl Penhaul. Karl reported the truth even when his own station was repeating Israeli disinformation. The fact that we were traveling with these alert journalists added to the flat-footedness and obvious crudeness of the Israeli response. Sadly, Israel has changed its story too many times to count, and that's because they are not telling the truth.

We lived to tell the story. Karl's incredible reporting, just a portion of our story, can be seen on CNN at:

http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/meast/12/30/gaza.aid.boat/index.html

where there's also video and a photo of our damaged boat. A little more of the story and film of the extensive damage can be seen at:

http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/meast/12/30/gaza.aid.boat/index.html#cnnSTCVideo

This video and the photos of Karl's report is particularly interesting given that Israel claims that our boat was only scratched and that, in actuality, our captain, while trying to outmaneuver them, damaged their warship.

I'm told that CNN only played my full statement once--and that's the time that it aired live. Of course, they cut the reference to the U.S.S. Liberty. What are they afraid of?

Last night I was on PressTV.com, along with others who were on the Dignity, and we debated a representative from WINEP, the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. I reminded the audience that the Palestinians don't have nuclear weapons, depleted uranium munitions, white phosphorous, or F-16s, but the Israelis do. The facts, however, tend to get garbled after being processed by the "Grand Wurlitzer" organ of state-sponsored disinformation utilizing the world's press.

With the truth clearly on our side, Israel has been reduced to releasing the ridiculous bombast below, given to me by a reporter who came to our hotel in Beirut for a visit. With their multiple, conflicting stories, it is clear that the Israelis did not expect us to live to tell the truth.

On the drive from Sour through Saida to Beirut, we were welcomed like heroes because our ordeal had been seen by everyone on Al Jazeera. The mayor of Sour came to welcome us. The mayor of Saida insisted that we stop there, on our way to Beirut, for a special ceremony. But there was something else that was visible along our drive, and that is the devastation that Lebanon, itself, has received as a result of the Israeli war machine. The scars of the war are still evident everywhere. I will write more on that tomorrow.

And one final note, President-elect Obama roared like a mighty lion onto the political scene, but now he is as silent as a lamb in the face of the death and destruction that is happening in Gaza. As we approach the birthday celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. let us remember what Dr. King said:

"In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."

And after five days of aerial bombardment by Israel, the carnage in Gaza continues.

Here is the palaver that the Israelis put out for public consumption. It is pitiful that a powerful and mighty country like Israel would be reduced to publishing something so petty and weak as the following press release dated December 30, 2008:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
12.30.2008

Israel continues to take its humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza seriously. Border crossings into Gaza remain open, and every effort is being made to deliver aid to the Palestinian people. Nearly 100 trucks carrying relief supplies entered Gaza on the 28th & 29th of December and additional shipments are arriving. Israel is working closely with UNSCO, UNRWA, the Red Cross, and WHO to ensure the entry of the required aid, especially food and medical equipment.

Unfortunately, former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney has taken it upon herself to commit an act of provocation, leading a small boat of supposed assistants into the conflict zone. She endangered herself, her assistants, and the vessel's crew. The Israeli navy hailed Ms. McKinney but the former Congresswoman failed to respond, thereby leading to the incident. We regret that during this time of crisis, while Israel is battling with the terrorist organization of Hamas and defending its citizens, that we are forced to deal with Ms. McKinney's irresponsible behavior.

Editor's note: Israel's perfidy knows no bounds. It is not in keeping with the Law of the Sea to hail a passenger aboard a vessel. Hails are to the ship's captain, and in his absence, the second ranking member of the crew and so forth. Of course, that is international law of the sea and so far, Israel has never been inclined to follow international law. Like the Third Reich before it, Israel has no time for international conventions or proper behavior among nation states.

It shoud be noted that the Israeli Consulate General in Atlanta is a major Mossad station,a fact that has earned it FBI surveillance. On September 8, 2006, WMR reported the following regarding the consulate general and possible Mossad penetration of the Atlanta FBI field office:

FBI surveillance of the Israeli Consulate-General in Atlanta resulted in the recent arrest by Columbus, Georgia police and FBI and Georgia Bureau of Investigation agents of Yosef Sagir Ofri, a diplomat assigned to the consulate-general on charges that he committed "illegal acts relating to sodomy, aggravated sodomy, child molestation and aggravated child molestation, utilizing verbal descriptions, narrative accounts and photographic depictions" through his use of the Internet and e-mail to make contact with minors. Ofri served as the security officer at the Israeli diplomatic post, a diplomatic portfolio that often disguises Mossad operatives. Sagir was indicted by a Columbia County grand jury before authorities moved in to make the arrest outside his home in DeKalb County. The FBI and other U.S. intelligence surveillance of Israeli targets had increased to "surge" levels in the weeks prior to the fifth anniversary of the 911 attacks.

In Sagiv's bail hearing, Superior Court Judge Duncan Wheale expressed surprise that prosecutors were merely asking for $25,000 bail and said that he would have granted a $75,000 bond. Wheale granted a $50,000 bail. Sagiv's defense attorney presented a letter of support for Sagiv from a local FBI agent who said he vouched for Sagiv because of his teaching anti-terrorism classes in the Atlanta area. Present at Sagiv's bail hearing were senior members of the Israeli Consulate General and one Israeli government official who flew from Tel Aviv to Atlanta. Part of Sagiv's bail agreement prohibits him from obtaining another passport without the prior knowledge of the U.S. government and the Columbia County District Attorney's office.

Greetings to all,

Les you are an inspiration. I have been watching events for quite sometime but now feel it is the time for action.

I voted for Cynthia and received lots of grief from all of the O people. She made me proud.

I have lost any glimmer of hope from O for any "change". The Zionest are even more entrenched than they were before.

The USA/Israel duo are in for some rough days ahead.

The key is to find the thumb holding back the water. What domino can be pushed so that they all begin to fall? Sadly, the bombing of innocent people does not effect the common American anymore. It will have to be a link between what is going on and something that hits home. It will have to be simple for the Americans to understand.

Most Americans just want Big O to just get the economy going again. He may give it a little spurt but in the long run its heading directly over a cliff.

Mostly, the modern populace is a very fearful lot. Bread and Circuses works quite well for them. When Africa was lost to the Romans so went the dole. The guys in Washington will try a keep the masses fed and stupid even if it does mean stale bread. Spam anyone?

The present Geopolitical system is very complex and huge but somewhere in that vast machinery is a linkage or screw that just needs to be turned. ???

the key is lies in history...

Hello Les Visible,

I’ve been reading your work for a couple years now.

This year on September 11th, I flew to NYC to support the 9/11 Truth Movement. We marched and chanted “9/11 Truth Now!” and a variety of other things around Ground Zero, Building 7, etc. I got a chance to see Cynthia McKinney speak that night. The next day, she was at an event for first responders that I also attended, where Richard Gage gave a presentation on the controlled demolition of WTC7. I left early, not realizing that Cynthia would be there, so I missed this. But I wanted to share it with you, in case you missed it. It’s why I voted for her.

Happy New Year, Les! Willow here. Another great essay! I don't know much about Cynthia McKinney but anyone who can give the Zionist assholes grief, humiliation and the finger has earned my respect in spades. God Bless her...we need more Cynthia McKinneys; more people with courage, loyalty and a deep sense of justice and compassion.

The thing about it is that it inspires resistance. We may not be able to go to Gaza to help but there is plenty we can do from here and it really starts with the idea of resistance. Think about it folks. Put that idea on your New Year's list of resolutions. Resolve to resist. These thugs, this government, that country, they can not function adequately without your cooperation. Withhold it. Resist...there are countless ways to undermine the corrupt and dangerous structures that have replaced a once fine and mighty nation.

My New Year's resolution? Resist any way I can. Welcome to the Resistance, Les! You are one of our voices of reason and wisdom.

Cheers!

Who supplies Israel with oil?
Surely the first thing to do is cut supplies to this country.
But of course that would require countries that are against what they are doing.
And let us face it the world is so far up Israels arse that they are doing some intensive colonic research into the murky bowels of evil.
They will never be able to wash the stench off their hands.

So likewise, a passionate attachment of one Nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite Nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest, in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter, without adequate inducement or justification. It leads also to concessions to the favorite Nation of privileges denied to others, which is apt doubly to injure the Nation making the concessions; by unnecessarily parting with what ought to have been retained; and by exciting jealousy, ill-will, and a disposition to retaliate, in the parties from whom equal privileges are withheld. And it gives to ambitious, corrupted, or deluded citizens, (who devote themselves to the favorite nation,) facility to betray or sacrifice the interests of their own country, without odium, sometimes even with popularity; gilding, with the appearances of a virtuous sense of obligation, a commendable deference for public opinion, or a laudable zeal for public good, the base or foolish compliances of ambition, corruption, or infatuation.

-George Washington's Farewell Address 1796

Food for thought. Maybe we should start giving a damn about ourselves more, there's plenty over here that needs fixing.

We don't need to get into expensive wars overseas, when we've got plenty over here to keep us busy.

Happy New Years! May 2009 be about us (as Americans) interests and safety.

This is a video of a protest in Auckland NZ against the slaughter in Gaza. Well worth a view. Ordinary New Zealanders and the speakers are good.

I happen to know a bit about NZ.
The government has recently changed from the ghastly Labour woman Helen Clark to a National one. In other words 'conservative'.
Actually it was an orgaized take over by the Jewish lobby imposing one of their own. PM Key is the son of an Austrian Jewish woman - therefore a jew.
He was up to his neck in Lehman Bros. I think head of the Asian division.
He then worked on wall st and with the federal reserve.
A few years ago afrer making millions he suddenly got an urge (directive) to return to NZ and politics. Shoed into the National Party leadership with a minimum of experience he now runs the country.
At least Helen Clark seemed to have a little 'independence'. Does the new one take orders from Tel Aviv and Washington?
If not, its pigs flying past I saw this morning.

But hey, it would be Un-American to consider Cynthia McKinney anything other than what she's perceived as. She's a Black woman, and there's no way those "sistas" are kind and loving; they're all pissed off like Michelle Obama. C'mon, the media are just doing their jobs re-inforcing the obvious fact of being a Black Woman. I'm sure Condi Rice slaps around cops in DC, but as uptight as she often appears...its probably often done in bed with them.

Disheartening to realize so many were not aware of Cynthia, or had only heard the vile "talking points" about her on MSM. Guess I must have seen her originally when she busted Rummy in congress for giving gov contracts to dyncorp, the intl.-child-sex-slave purveyors. The videos are on youtube. I also voted for her proudly. I've always thought she literally glows with consciousness, lifeforce, and shakti. Sometimes I have thought she maybe wasn't totally up to speed on 911/zionism, previously being of the LIHOP persuasion instead of the MIHOP. I think she's getting there fast now. The thing about her not being permitted to board for a flight around election time was really weird, and no more information coming out, except her statement that there was a "misunderstanding". But nevertheless, I would love to meet her one day, thank her for all her courageous acts, and will once again try the next time I gig in Atlanta.
Another great Georgian is the radio dude, Mike Malloy, who was early-on kicked off airamerica (run by wack jews like Al Franken - who totally kissed ass to all israhelli spokespersons, and wouldn't allow any questioning of voter fraud - ironic, eh?). Malloy can be heard now on weekdays from 6-9 (Pacific) on 1480 KPHX web-streaming. (I listened every day from India!) Malloy is 60-ish, atheist but spiritual, funnier-than-hell, and pulls no punches, and uses lots of cuss words describing the "sons 'o bitches" who piss all of us off. He saved my sanity many times with his "hate" and passion, as You, dear Les do on a daily basis.

Hallo Les,
I have been reading your blog for a few month now. I came across it through Rense, I think. I applaud your moral clarity and fervour, on the dismal fate of the Palestinians.

Can you imagine if this was 1.5 million jews herded into a concentration camp in Gaza and being subjected to a bloody turkey shoot by nice shiny new F-16 aircraft ( thanks, American taxpayers)!
We wouldn't hear the end of it.

You have this cute idea that there's some big "karmic" retribution coming to the evil ones etc. It's all very quaint, but your new age mysticism is just an impotent fantasy, I'm afraid.

The Palestinians will be genocided until they are just a small, broken sideshow, a bit like the utterly sidelined Native Americans in the USA. What's going on in Gaza has the full support of the US and Europe, despite the 'show' of concern.

Your righteous anger is all well and good, but in the end, sadly, the Palestinians are historical toast.

Patrick.

In all the news about the latest israeli incursion into Gaza, and all the deaths, and especially all those rockets and mortar rounds, I find it very odd that there have been no reports of any israeli casualties. Is Hamas the A team of the middle east, able to have a machine gun battle behind trash cans at 20 ft. and no one gets hit? Or is this just what happens when you have israeli infiltrators in Hamas aiming the rockets.

I find it kind of incredible that no one has mentioned the lack of dead israelis. I mean, sorry to get off subject, as Cynthia McKinney is as stand up a politition as there is. Sorry to say that any politition that stands up any more ends up dead. She had the misfortune of being an unincluded spectator of what happened on 911, and as any objective observer saw real problems with the "official" account. Unfortunatly for her, she went against the what's good for israel is good for america theme, and has been vilified as a wacko by the jewish controlled MSM ever since.

Anyway, back to my tirade. Where are all the israeli deaths that makes this attack on the palestinians such a necessity. How can something so blatant go un noticed? Is it just me?

I’ve only got a rough idea about what Cynthia McKinney is like but she ‘seems’ like a kind of Cassandra with ‘tude. Meaning wherever people are oppressed, that’s me yesterday and maybe you tomorrow.

Nope, you weren't the only one, Les...

To bring this conversation back to reality, you all need to read this article by Charles Krauthammer (Jewish? ...nah) He does a wonderful job exposing all of the care that Israel takes before bombing neighborhoods, and exposes to the light of day (finally) how clear the moral imperative is for Israel's cause... You could all learn a thing or two from the nazi bludgeon, you racists:(feel free to drop him a line by the way...heeheehee)

Moral Clarity in Gaza

By Charles Krauthammer
Friday, January 2, 2009; A15

Late Saturday, thousands of Gazans received Arabic-language cell-phone messages from the Israeli military, urging them to leave homes where militants might have stashed weapons.

Some geopolitical conflicts are morally complicated. The Israel-Gaza war is not. It possesses a moral clarity not only rare but excruciating.

Israel is so scrupulous about civilian life that, risking the element of surprise, it contacts enemy noncombatants in advance to warn them of approaching danger. Hamas, which started this conflict with unrelenting rocket and mortar attacks on unarmed Israelis -- 6,464 launched from Gaza in the past three years -- deliberately places its weapons in and near the homes of its own people.

This has two purposes. First, counting on the moral scrupulousness of Israel, Hamas figures civilian proximity might help protect at least part of its arsenal. Second, knowing that Israelis have new precision weapons that may allow them to attack nonetheless, Hamas hopes that inevitable collateral damage -- or, if it is really fortunate, an errant Israeli bomb -- will kill large numbers of its own people for which, of course, the world will blame Israel.
For Hamas, the only thing more prized than dead Jews are dead Palestinians. The religion of Jew-murder and self-martyrdom is ubiquitous. And deeply perverse, such as the Hamas TV children's program in which an adorable live-action Palestinian Mickey Mouse is beaten to death by an Israeli (then replaced by his more militant cousin, Nahoul the Bee, who vows to continue on Mickey's path to martyrdom).

At war today in Gaza, one combatant is committed to causing the most civilian pain and suffering on both sides. The other combatant is committed to saving as many lives as possible -- also on both sides. It's a recurring theme. Israel gave similar warnings to Southern Lebanese villagers before attacking Hezbollah in the Lebanon war of 2006. The Israelis did this knowing it would lose for them the element of surprise and cost the lives of their own soldiers.
That is the asymmetry of means between Hamas and Israel. But there is equal clarity regarding the asymmetry of ends. Israel has but a single objective in Gaza -- peace: the calm, open, normal relations it offered Gaza when it withdrew in 2005. Doing something never done by the Turkish, British, Egyptian and Jordanian rulers of Palestine, the Israelis gave the Palestinians their first sovereign territory ever in Gaza.

What ensued? This is not ancient history. Did the Palestinians begin building the state that is supposedly their great national aim? No. No roads, no industry, no courts, no civil society at all. The flourishing greenhouses that Israel left behind for the Palestinians were destroyed and abandoned. Instead, Gaza's Iranian-sponsored rulers have devoted all their resources to turning it into a terror base -- importing weapons, training terrorists, building tunnels with which to kidnap Israelis on the other side. And of course firing rockets unceasingly.

The grievance? It cannot be occupation, military control or settlers. They were all removed in September 2005. There's only one grievance and Hamas is open about it. Israel's very existence.

Nor does Hamas conceal its strategy. Provoke conflict. Wait for the inevitable civilian casualties. Bring down the world's opprobrium on Israel. Force it into an untenable cease-fire -- exactly as happened in Lebanon. Then, as in Lebanon, rearm, rebuild and mobilize for the next round. Perpetual war. Since its raison d'etre is the eradication of Israel, there are only two possible outcomes: the defeat of Hamas or the extinction of Israel.
Israel's only response is to try to do what it failed to do after the Gaza withdrawal. The unpardonable strategic error of its architect, Ariel Sharon, was not the withdrawal itself but the failure to immediately establish a deterrence regime under which no violence would be tolerated after the removal of any and all Israeli presence -- the ostensible justification for previous Palestinian attacks. Instead, Israel allowed unceasing rocket fire, implicitly acquiescing to a state of active war and indiscriminate terror.

Hamas's rejection of an extension of its often-violated six-month cease-fire (during which the rockets never stopped, just were less frequent) gave Israel a rare opportunity to establish the norm it should have insisted upon three years ago: no rockets, no mortar fire, no kidnapping, no acts of war. As the U.S. government has officially stated: a sustainable and enduring cease-fire. If this fighting ends with anything less than that, Israel will have lost yet another war. The question is whether Israel still retains the nerve -- and the moral self-assurance -- to win.

So Pilate asked him, “Are you a king, then?”

Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. I was born and came into the world for this one purpose, to speak about the truth. Whoever belongs to the truth listens to me.”

“And what is truth?” Pilate asked.

I've always been fascinated by this exchange. Jesus has no answer to the question- what is truth.
Do we?
It seems to me Truth is nearly dead in our time. It is not a Value any more. It might have started with Winston Churchill who said "The Truth must be protected by a bodyguard of lies". It would seem that the bodyguard has since beaten Truth to death and now it just creates and proctects the lies.
Truth hs been replaced by Belief. It doesn't matter what the Belief is, the more the merrier, as long as people, like assholes, have one. Beliefs don't need to be held up to the light of Truth. People no longer have the right to the truth, they have a right to Beliefs, no matter what they are. Of course there are Interests that very effectively shape peoples Beliefs for their own ends. These interests have neither Truth nor Beliefs, only Purpose and we can only gues at their Purpose. Little enclaves of people like those that visit Les's Blog are trying to give CPR to the nearly lifeless body of Truth. Even we here have different Beliefs but we try to hold them to the light of truth.
So what I'm saying, after scanning the MSM on the net and Cable, is, there is no Truth out there. And we can't spread the Truth because it is no longer as powerful as Beliefs- and we cant even reply to the question- What is Truth? Because it will be seen as just another oddball Belief.
All we realy can do is try to keep the dying ember alive and allow no one here to spit on it- whatever it is.

Greg;

I love that moment in the tapestry too. You got a little convoluted after that to the point where I didn't quite know what your point was or who is the target.

However... Since I got up to take a leak and stopped by the computer on my way to bed I thought I would say that... ah... nobody knows what's going on or they wouldn't be doing it. Everything is under control as has been demonstrated time and time again over billions and billions of years and even when Brahma lays dreaming in a sea of milk (or is that Vishnu?) and everything is quiet and contained the universe still explodes into action again. That's what it does. Then somebody kills somebody and then the same people keep reincarnating to kill the same people who killed them last time. Which kind of explains why Christ didn't answer the question.

The key is love. It unlocks every door and it heaps coals of fire on the heads of those who wish you harm... even though love does not intend this it is part of an inflexible law that holds it all together.

What Israel is doing is exposing itself for what it is... providing the evidence for it's own conviction which is certain. I wish it didn't take so long too but it does. Never fear... the good guys win. The good guys win because it doesn't work any other way. Even the bad guys know this. They just want to eat as much as they can before they go.

Justice will be served a la carte.

Anonymous said...

Greg I am much moved by your wisdom.
May I just add a little sombre note.
From years of experience people generally don't even WANT the truth if it is of any inconvenience.
If there is such a thing as reincarnation of 'group souls' the groupies today have to be those of the fall of Rome.
Briefly scanning my limited view of world history I cannot think of any other similar scenario. But then we don't really know what happened to the central American civilizations - but they ripped the hearts out of their living victims - so that was possibly this lot too.
I suggest we on this board were the ones fed to the lions or bled dry on altar stones and we continue, even now, to futilely object our current fate which is to bang our heads against endless brick walls of violence, ignorance and lies.
When I die - which might not be too far down the line I have told my children to remember this of me. It will be my introduction to the next plane.
'She always did her best'. (And believe me I have fought some battles and had some crosses, including one I still carry.)
Can anyone do more? We can at least be true unto ourselves.

WHY IS THE UNITED STATES REALLY BROKE? GREAT ARTICLE BY CHALMERS JOHNSON !!

http://capitalism-is-making-amer...roke- great.html

Global confidence in the US economy has reached zero, as was proved by last month’s stock market meltdown. But there is an enormous anomaly in the US economy above and beyond the subprime mortgage crisis, the housing bubble and the prospect of recession: 60 years of misallocation of resources, and borrowings, to the establishment and maintenance of a military-industrial complex as the basis of the nation’s economic life.

By Chalmers Johnson

The military adventurers in the Bush administration have much in common with the corporate leaders of the defunct energy company Enron. Both groups thought that they were the “smartest guys in the room” — the title of Alex Gibney’s prize-winning film on what went wrong at Enron. The neoconservatives in the White House and the Pentagon outsmarted themselves. They failed even to address the problem of how to finance their schemes of imperialist wars and global domination.

As a result, going into 2008, the United States finds itself in the anomalous position of being unable to pay for its own elevated living standards or its wasteful, overly large military establishment. Its government no longer even attempts to reduce the ruinous expenses of maintaining huge standing armies, replacing the equipment that seven years of wars have destroyed or worn out, or preparing for a war in outer space against unknown adversaries. Instead, the Bush administration puts off these costs for future generations to pay or repudiate. This fiscal irresponsibility has been disguised through many manipulative financial schemes (causing poorer countries to lend us unprecedented sums of money), but the time of reckoning is fast approaching.

There are three broad aspects to the US debt crisis. First, in the current fiscal year (200 we are spending insane amounts of money on “defence” projects that bear no relation to the national security of the US. We are also keeping the income tax burdens on the richest segment of the population at strikingly low levels.

Second, we continue to believe that we can compensate for the accelerating erosion of our base and our loss of jobs to foreign countries through massive military expenditures — “military Keynesianism” (which I discuss in detail in my book Nemesis: The Last Days of the American Republic). By that, I mean the mistaken belief that public policies focused on frequent wars, huge expenditures on weapons and munitions, and large standing armies can indefinitely sustain a wealthy capitalist economy. The opposite is actually true.

Third, in our devotion to militarism (despite our limited resources), we are failing to invest in our social infrastructure and other requirements for the long-term health of the US. These are what economists call opportunity costs, things not done because we spent our money on something else. Our public education system has deteriorated alarmingly. We have failed to provide health care to all our citizens and neglected our responsibilities as the world’s number one polluter. Most important, we have lost our competitiveness as a manufacturer for civilian needs, an infinitely more efficient use of scarce resources than arms manufacturing.

.

To see the amount of money that is going into pockets and overseas is devastating. It would not have been any worse if the leadership intended to collapse the country. Well, I sometimes think that is the case.

think what the world would be if we just cut all defense spending by 80%?

Greg, I think you have got it wrong. Jesus' silence was not because He did not have an answer to the question, but more a chance for Pilate to reflect on the fact that the truth was standing in front of him. The fact is, Pilate was blind to the truth, thats why he ask the question in the first place. Les says he knows there is a God. I also know there is a God, not from my catholic up-bringing, but from personal contect with Jesus through a spiritaul experance and I might add, without the aid of any drugs, no pun intended Les. Jesus is that God, the one and only....
ps please excuse the spelling.

On another note. I see the IDF has enterd Gaza. I don't know about the rest of you, but it seems to me that this is a ploy to get Iran hooked on to the idea of some sort of action so that the USA the Brits and Israel and the rest can do the dirty deed and bomb Iran. Gurneygob,
Your interpretation is one of the possibilities of what the exchange between Jesus and Pilot meant. I probably should have said "Jusus gave no answer". The uncertainty of what this means is what's fascinating and was meant as an introduction to what I went on to say. Your response illustrates one of my points.Your Belief that he didn't answer so as to give Pilate time to ponder doesn't make it true.It is just your Belief. If I had a Belief that he didn't know the answer, we could argue about it and recruit fellow Believers and after a few years of bitter arguing, we could drop bombs on each other in defense of our Beliefs.
If Belief is not open to re-analysis based on new information or the re-evaluation of the original information (better known as Truth) we become fanatics by definition. This was my point. that the lack of respect for, and the minimal availability of, Truth is creating a world of Fanatics that can't be reached by reason, facts, or critical argument.
We need the uncertainty of this mysterious world to remain sane and to discover Truth.
It reminds me of the song from the "King and I":

When I was a boy
World was better spot.
What was so was so,
What was not was not.
Now I am a man;
World have changed a lot.
Some things nearly so,
Others nearly not.

There are times I almost think
I am not sure of what I absolutely know.
Very often find confusion
In conclusion I concluded long ago
In my head are many facts
That, as a student, I have studied to procure,
In my head are many facts..
Of which I wish I was more certain I was sure!

Maybe the only way to truly understand and "know" Truth is not through theory (mind babble) but through Direct Experience of That which Truth Is. "I am That, Thou are That and All This is That. Once one is There (Being) then one is able to speak It, effortlessly, spontaneously. Hmmm, sounds like a state of consciousness worth researching and exploring, directly.

Not really the right forum for this, but I liked the logic of the first part of your reply pretty well. Can you not see the breakdown of that logic when you get into the cant and dogma at the end of the paragraph? Do you not see that sort of Belief is what Greg was writing about?

Les says he knows there is a God from personal experience. I've never heard him personify that God into a semi-historical character that dominates any religion. Have you?

I too know there is a God. There are a bunch of them, far as I can tell. There is also First Source from which came they and all of their multiple creations and whatever is beyond all that.

If, in the midst of such an experience, some being of light personifying Jesus appeared in front of me and told me flat-out that he was First Source, the Creator, and that he had made all of the vast multidimensional universes and then decided to show up here in his true form, on this little speck of Earth to get tortured to death to save my sorry ass from some sins I wouldn't commit for another 2,000 years, I think I'd ask at least a few questions.

My guess is, rather, that you had a spiritual experience of joy and light and rightness and your brain latched onto the only "acceptable" explanation it had. That's how our physical brains and social conditioning work. I'm not saying Jesus doesn't exist or that you didn't have a personal experience with him. I'm saying he didn't tell you all of the church dogma above.

You don't suppose if you'd been indoctrinated into another religion that you might have seen a different entity as God?

Having an experience that serves as a spiritual awakening in this human instrument is one step on an ongoing path, a journey whose destination is beyond our ken. After one step have you already found all the answers you need? Or does your childhood religious indoctrination and social conditioning prevent you looking further?

Gurnygob:

Truth is quite different than belief.

If you are raised Catholic (or any other religion) and you have some personal experience, how do you know it was some kind of revelation? How do you know it wasn't some projection of your beliefs? How can you possibly test it? You already had the belief ingrained in your head. If you were some monk deep in the himalayas meditating, and had a vision of Jesus, that may be something, has that ever happened?. Understanding why people believe is more important than anything. Billions of people believe in quite different things, all convinced they are right, how is this possible? Understanding why people need to believe in something they can't prove is the key issue, get that and you have the answer.

Truth implies facing reality. A true scientific mind is constantly questioning the very conclusions that brain has accumulated. Methinks "Truth" is completely opposite of belief.

My question is why try to analyse what Jesus or Pilate were talking about two thousand years ago when there is no reasonable evidence these people even existed!

And what does a mind stripped of fantasy and wild imagination see in regard to the present situation in Gaza? Most readers of this blog know what's going on. But all the ChristianZionist, all the fools watching and believing CNN etc... are lost. The propaganda on CNN is disgusting, total sell outs.

But I have to agree with you on one point, there seems to be some hope on Israels part to engage Iran, as they have been urging the US to do something for months.

Should be an interesting year, hope we all live through it.

I have been trying put the truth in front everyone I know. It has cost me. I even sent Les' site to a Jewish friend. See what happens.

Don't you just love it when they report Gaza like a football game? What is the score now and who is winning?

The Zionest need to know that there will be someone behind to till the shoes of everyone they kill. Karma...

HEZBOLLAH SAYS ISRAEL IS LOSING THE WAR !!

Hezbollah chief Hasan Nasrallah said Wednesday that Israel is losing in Gaza because it was not able to eliminate the resistance as soon as was expected.

http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2009-01/02/content_10595465.htm

BEIRUT, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- Hezbollah's head of its Parliamentary block Mohammed Raad said Friday that Israel will be surprised by the range of the rockets fired by Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, Local Naharnet website reported.

"The enemy will be surprised by the range of rockets which the resistance has in Gaza," Raad was quoted as saying in a rally in southern Lebanon.

Hamas movement has been launching increasing rocket attacks against southern Israeli towns since the end of a six-month ceasefire with Israel on Dec. 19.

Raad criticized Egypt for closing the Rafah crossing, and accused Egypt of encouraging inter-Palestinian differences.

He also accused what he called "Arab regime" of being a partner of the "massacres" committed by Israel in Gaza, which aimed at implementing the "Jewish-American plan."

Hezbollah chief Hasan Nasrallah said Wednesday that Israel is losing in Gaza because it was not able to "eliminate the resistance" as soon as was expected.

Israeli warplanes have been shelling the Gaza Strip since last Saturday, where Palestinian militants, mainly Hamas armed wing al-Qassam Brigades, kept launching rockets at Israeli cities and towns.

During the seven days, 430 Palestinians were killed and around 2200 wounded, 500 of them are in critical conditions. While on the Israeli side, the rocket attacks have caused four deaths and over a dozen injuries.

Thanks’ for the input to my response to Greg. Re: Pilate and the truth.
I get what you are all saying and I respect your views, even if I don’t agree. Let me say this though. It is true that I believe in the Catholic faith because of my up-bringing, and had I have been brought up a Hindu then I, more than likely, would have faith in that belief system and so on. My spiritual experience was not a Catholic one, maybe not even a Christian one. To be quite honest, I still don’t know the reason I experienced what I did. All I can say is, that it strengthen my faith in Jesus as my God, Thee God. It has not made me believe in the Catholic Church any more than I did then, or now.
Going back to Gregs’ response Re: “If I had a Belief that he didn't know the answer, we could argue about it and recruit fellow Believers and after a few years of bitter arguing, we could drop bombs on each other in defense of our Beliefs”.
This is the problem with so called Christians and Jews and Muslims and so on. Jesus did not give permission for us to bomb the shit out of each other. Quite the opposite. He told us to love each other. This is my belief and I try to live by that. Because others of my religion don’t follow that, doesn’t make belief in Jesus wrong. I truly believe with all my heart that if we follow what He asks then there would be peace and good will to all men, so to speak. But then, what do we do with all the “SINNERS” those who break the laws of God/Jesus. Well I am one of those Sinners and trust me; I have some real dark patches on my soul, so to speak. That’s where Jesus’ sacrifice comes into it. There has always been sacrifice of one sort or another all through human history and religious belief systems, the result being that numerous poor souls suddenly found themselves on the offering list to some god or another. Jesus on the other hand being the son of Thee God became the supreme sacrifice so that you or I would not end up on that list. You find it hard to see how a God who created everything would bother to come to this wee speck of dust we call earth just to suffer and die for us. Well that’s the God I believe in. If He is a God of love then why wouldn’t He come and show us how much He loved us. All those who believe in a god, even Les, and even if it’s not the same God I believe in, still talk of a god of love, but where is this god they speak of. My God on the other hand loved me and all men so much that He sent His only Son to suffer and die at the hands of those He loved. I know, it’s hard to comprehend how anyone, let alone a god, could love so much.
There is no reason or excuse in the world to justify what is happening in Gaza or anywhere else on earth for that matter. Men are blind and fickle; they see only what they want to see even when God shows them a better way. I for one would never drop a bomb on you, well, maybe a love bomb. As for the question of Truth. I believe that truth resides in each mans heart to the extent that he is willing to see it. It is the SELF part of us that gets in the way of truth and blinds us to the needs of others. If you or I want to find real truth then we need to die to the self. Would you be willing to die for me? I can’t say for sure if I would die for you, but this is what Jesus asks of all of us. Love one another as I have loved you….. Hopefully I wont have to ‘actually’ die for you, or you for me, but I could die to the feeling of revenge, greed, distrust, anger, pride, hate and the sexual desires for ones wife or to have sex with another man and so on. Maybe if we all took a good look deep inside and thought, what about my neighbor, then none of this shit would be happening. Anyway, I know this will not make you feel any different or change your views, it’s not meant to, it’s just my scope on things. If I ruled the world and all that………
God bless

There is a clip on WRH that shows the carnage in very graphic form. I am also sending that to everyone I can. THIS IS NOT A FOOTBALL GAME OR POLICE ACTION, IT IS GENOCIDE.

Down the road everyone is going to wish they had done something. I wonder how many people are still so excited about 'silent sam obama'. Silence is guilt!

Hey Les, folks,
Late as usual. Most excellent comments running here. I'll stick in my tuppence worth just in time to have the conversation end as a new piece goes up. Always this way. Never mind.

Susana, who supplies Israel with oil? Iraq! The twin lines of Iraq as a 'war for oil' and Iraq as a 'war for Israel' are both right. It was a war for oil for Israel. (Okay, amongst other things sure). The US has four big bases in Iraq yeah? Anyone know where they are? One is in Baghdad, the other three are strung across the North in the Kurdish part of town. They protect the pipeline running form Kirkuk to Haifa. The Kurds are cool on this since Israel 'helped' them (or that's what they think anyway) to gain their own homeland. If you read or hear of pipelines being blown up in some obscure town in Iraq, it pays to look that town up. I've done this twice and both times the unheard of little town sat perfectly in a line drawn between Kirkuk and Haifa. God forbid a news article should actually describe the location in these terms. If they did, people might actually make sense of the situation. And we can't have that.

Rosie - I have to admit having a soft spot for Helen Clark. She actually had the balls to expel the Israeli ambassador after a gang of Mossad agents and their sayanim were caught red-handed in a passport scam in NZ. Remember that? My own government in Australia, where the head Mossad guy had run a 'travel agency' for years (that seemed not to have any customers) thought nothing of it, declared that he certainly had never tried anything here, and that everything was fine. Clark on the other hand was vociferous and had the motherfuckers charged and tried. You had to admire her for that if nothing else.

As for Greg's thing about Jesus and Pilate - I'm up for it. How about this -Truth is anything which isn't self-serving. Is that too simple? I don't think so. Don't dismiss this automatically. Why would someone lie if there wasn't something in it for them? Why would you misrepresent things for no reason? Any lie you can give me, I can point out the self-serving aspect of it. I swear to God. If there's nothing in it for someone, they wouldn't waste their breath lying. Stands to reason.

For mine, rather than discuss the ins and outs of truth, I'd ditch the whole caper. A discussion of the selfishness or selflessness of a thing, on the other hand, can't go wrong. Make that the foundation of the discussion (even if it's unspoken, say like how habeas corpus didn't need to be brought up every time in a law court. Well, not until recently anyway) and things like 'truth' fall into place. And for mine, selflessness = love, same-same. Love is one of those words like 'truth' - everyone has a different idea of what it is. Selflessness is less ambiguous and more at the heart of matters, I reckon.

And it just now occurred to me that in the discussion we must have (ie. the media's various topics, talking points, and the-world-is-thus) the word 'selflessness' is avoided like the plague. It ain't nowhere. Me, I reckon it's because it can't be twisted or misrepresented. 'Truth' and 'love', on the other hand get batted around like shuttlecocks in a Malaysian open air badminton tournament. There's zillions of 'em, all be whapped this way and that, and who can make sense of it all?

As for belief, I reckon you're on the money Greg. It's precisely where my head is at. But rather than have a spray here I'll sling a thing up at my place.

Oh, otherwise I'm with m_astera. 'Hommies' is an excellent word. I figure it's short for 'homicidal maniac' ha ha.

Gurnygob:

Thought I might step in here one more time, hope you don't mind. I personally respect your beliefs, as well as everyone elses. Just wanted to clarify one or two things.

I'm just questioning this whole thing. Belief is a form of knowledge, and we all accumulate knowledge as a way to navigate in the real world in a practical and safe manor. Accurate knowledge and information insures our survival right? Humans everywhere have taken this factual obeservable knowledge, and project it to the realm of the unverifiable. We call that belief right? We feel secure in our beliefs, just like factual knowledge, and I for one wouldn't want to knock that out from under anyone, if they are not prepared to do it themselves.

At the moment I'm not so worried about religious beliefs. I'm worried about the massive propaganda in this country, using the media as the main source of disinformation. And all the believing souls that blindly except what the see on TV. These people want to believe what the "authorities" say. It's the foundation on which they stand, and any remarks to the contrary will be met with resistance and violence. We are reaching a climax, if you observe what is going on.

One thing I do appreciate about the pure Hindu mind, is the emphasis on doubt vs belief. Doubt and scepticism cleanses the mind. Not sure how many Hindus follow that today.

Anyway, lets face it, we are on the brink of some major shit. Are we open to whats really going on, or are we brainwashed? What will be our position when we are called apon to act? Will we make the right decisions, or blindly follow what we have been programed to do? My only request is that maybe we suspend our cherished beliefs, and question how we are being manipulated by those clever few who have always manipulated people. Our survival may be at stake here.

notamobster said...

I'm taking the blue pill on the rense article, Rosie... My fragile ego just couldn't handle trying to wrap itself around a matrix style existence...yet. I understand that we're being programmed every day by external forces, but I see them more like the difference between analog electronics and solid-state digital components. I believe (if I may use the term) that the PTB are absolutely attempting to control the world, but rather through perceptions and propaganda than via direct programming style control. I could be wrong, and most certainly don't claim to know it all, but it's the blue pill for me...for now.

Unusual to see Nobody here this time of day. Welcome sir. Good morning.

Point taken. You are right about the 'massive propaganda' thing. I don't know why people believe all they here on the news, even though they know deep down it's mostly lies. There is something big coming that will shake the wits of all, but I fear it will be to late for most. Not that that lets me of the hook. I am sure I will get a good shaking with all the rest. We will all have to face the truth. The problem with truth is that it hurts like hell, maybe that's why we don't like to look to deeply. It demands that we change and if that change means we have to sacrafice something of our own then for the most part we shy away from seeing the truth. most People don't want to know the truth of Gaza or anywhere else, because they live selfish lives and all that matters is their own wee world. God, or whatever you want to call him will shake this earth to the core and I believe it will be soon. God bless you all and keep you safe.

ASK THE US FOUNDING FATHERS SOME QUESTIONS

Ask Samuel Adams:

About who is to blame for the erosion of your constitutional rights ...

Samuel Adams Says:
The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil constitution are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.

Ask Alexander Hamilton:

About a nation that condones torture when faced with danger ...

Alexander Hamilton Says:
A nation which can prefer disgrace to danger is prepared for a master, and deserves one.... Of those men who have overturned the liberties of republics, the greatest number have begun their career by paying an obsequious court to the people, commencing demagogues and ending tyrants.

Ask Patrick Henry:

About leaders who ignore subpoenas, destroy public records, and abuse executive privilege ...

Patrick Henry Says:
The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them. The most iniquitous plots may be carried on against their liberty and happiness.
I am not an advocate for divulging indiscriminately all the operations of government, though the practice of our ancestors in some degree justifies it. Such transactions as relate to military operations or affairs of great consequence, the immediate promulgation of which might defeat the interests of the community, I would not wish to be published, till the end which required their secrecy should have been effected. But to cover, with the veil of secrecy, the common routine of business, is an abomination in the eyes of every intelligent man, and every friend to his country.

Ask George Washington:

About leaders who put the interest of their political party ahead of the will of the people ...

George Washington Says:
The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual, and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation on the ruins of public liberty.

Ask John Adams:

About about what happens when the people become complacent ...

John Adams Says:
Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachments is to grow every day more encroaching; like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour.

Ask Thomas Jefferson:

About those rabble rousers who get out in the streets and protest ...

Thomas Jefferson Says:
I hold it that a little rebellion now
and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical. Unsuccessful rebellions,
indeed, generally establish the encroachments on the rights of the people which have produced them. An observation of this truth should render honest republican governors so mild in their punishment of rebellions as not to discourage them too much. It is a medicine necessary for the sound health of government.

Ask James Madison:

About the dangers of Chief Executives eager to wage war ...

James Madison Says:
In time of actual war, great discretionary powers are constantly given to the
Executive Magistrate.
Constant apprehension of
War, has the same tendency to render the head too large for the body. A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defense against foreign danger have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Among the Romans it was a standing maxim to excite a war, whenever a revolt was apprehended. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending, have enslaved the people.

Ask Abraham Lincoln:

About the importance of Congress not neglecting its role in war powers ...

Abraham Lincoln Says:
The provision of the Constitution giving the war-making power to Congress was dictated, as I understand it, by the following reasons. Kings had always been involving and impoverishing their people in wars, pretending generally, if not always, that the good of the people was the object. This, our Convention understood to be the most oppressive of all Kingly oppressions; and they resolved to so frame the Constitution that no one man should hold the power of bringing this oppression upon us.

Ask Theodore Roosevelt:

About the dangers of rampant cronyism in government ...

Theodore Roosevelt Says:
The death-knell of the Republic had rung as soon as the active power became lodged in the hands of those who sought, not to do justice to all citizens, rich and poor alike, but to stand for one special class and for its interests as opposed to the interests of others.

Ask Harry Truman:

About rounding up dissenters into "free speech zones" away from news cameras at political events ...

Harry Truman Says:
Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.

Ask Dwight D Eisenhower:

About spending nearly as much as the rest of the world combined on the military ...

Dwight D Eisenhower Says:
In the councils of government,
we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.
We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.

Ask John F Kennedy:

About a nation where the Right wants to silence "obscene" speech, and the Left wants to silence "hate" speech ...

John F Kennedy Says:
We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.

Hi Les: I was listening to "Invisible Sun" by The Police and it's a song that i think reflects our feelings on these dystopian, hopeless times. Take a look at the lyrics, they are real cool:

THE POLICE - Invisible Sun

I don't want to spend the rest of my life
Looking at the barrel of an Armalite
I don't want to spend the rest of my days
Keeping out of trouble like the soldiers say
I don't want to spend my time in hell
Looking at the walls of a prison cell
I don't ever want to play the part
Of a statistic on a goverment chart

There has to be an invisible sun
It gives its heat to everyone
There has to be an invisible sun
That gives us hope when the whole day's done

It's dark all day, and it glows all night
Factory smoke and acetylene light
I face the day with me head caved in
Looking like something that the cat brought in

There has to be an invisible sun
It gives its heat to everyone
There has to be an invisible sun
That gives us hope when the whole day's done

And they're only going to change this place by
Killing everybody in the human race
And they would kill me for a cigarette
But I don't even wanna die just yet

There has to be an invisible sun
It gives its heat to everyone
There has to be an invisible sun
It gives us hope when the whole day's done

Gurneygob,
I pretty much agree with your last and My original post was really meant to apply to the current world situation and people's Beliefs in that regard. The religious or philosophical study of Truth and Beliefs would , and does, fill libraries since it is a question that man has wrestled with for thousands of years.
Unfortunately most people don't differentiate between Truth and Beliefs- and believe their beliefs are the Truth (sorry about that one). Without Doubt (as you said) Beliefs become rigid and people will defend their beliefs, sometimes to the death or persecute or kill others who don't hold the same ones. This is what I was getting at- most people, to put it bluntly, are too stupid or ignorant to even think about what, if anything their beliefs are based on. And so, my belief is that we will have little success trying to get the blind masses who support Israel's continual agression and genocide to see it any other way.But there is room for doubt.
Remember "casting pearls before swine"?

BTW, I never meant to question your religious beliefs- I was raised a Catholic too (but I got over it ;o)

And Rosie-
I tried but just can't bring myself to watch any more videos showing the horrors being inflicted on the poor people in Gaza- it hurts too much.
And the other link- I have to agree with Nota.. It's the old "there's an invisible race of people living among us" fallacy.
But if it is true , I want a software upgrade to Version 2.012

Invest in Jobs & Keep the Palestinian Embroidery Trade Alive!

The Embroidery Program is another of UPA’s development efforts that provides training and income by promoting and revitalizing a home-grown Palestinian trade. Our primary supplier, Atfaluna Society for the Deaf, offers opportunities for deaf men and women in Gaza who have never had the chance to go to school, by training them in embroidery crafts and other trades. They can take pride in preserving Palestinian culture while contributing to their family's income.

You too can help keep this uniquely Palestinian artwork alive by purchasing hand-embroidered items -- while providing jobs and much-needed hope for hundreds of crafts workers living in very difficult circumstances.

January 2, 2009 - The "all-out war" against Palestinians in Gaza, more than 80 percent of whom depend on food aid to survive, is being waged with more than bombs and missiles. As Israel continues its chokehold on Gaza's 1.5 million people, humanitarian agencies from the United Nations on down have struggled to bring the most basic aid, including food and medicine, into this "closed military zone."

Meanwhile, the people of Gaza are doing what they have done for the more than 18 months since Israel sealed them off from the world: They are refusing to give up. You might have seen the images or heard the stories. When fuel was scarce, Gazans learned to power their cars with cooking oil. When the cement ran out, they used the rubble of bombed buildings to erect tombstones for the dead.

And now, as the dead and dying outnumber the medical supplies with which to treat them, Gaza's health workers are forced to jettison everything they know by reusing syringes and even reapplying a single piece of gauze on multiple wounds.
